Nicholas J Runcorn
Nicholas J Runcorn founded IDBX and leads it as Chair and Chief Executive. He has spent thirty four years in interbank markets, running rates, FX, bond and options desks in London, Madrid, New York and Nyon, and before IDBX built and led an FCA authorized hybrid MTF. At IDBX he leads the design of the venue with the IDBX engineering team.
Nicholas J Runcorn is Founder, Chair and Chief Executive of IDBX. He chose the market at nineteen and has spent thirty four years in interbank trading since, running rates, FX, bond and options desks in London, Madrid, New York and Nyon, and building client franchises across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Every move in his career followed his clients and the liquidity they needed.
Before IDBX he built and led an FCA authorized hybrid MTF. At IDBX he leads the design of the venue, the Nexus platform and AIDANN, its governed intelligence layer, together with the IDBX engineering team. He also hosts The IDBX Podcast.
Responsible for future markets, tokenization and institutional governance. Accredited expert to ISO/TC 307 and project leader on its tokenization standards.
Built the US GAAP reporting function for a global insurance group. Career in chartered accountancy practice before IDBX.
