Governed intelligence

Watch it compute: an interbank netting engine you can audit in your browser

Institutions do not adopt infrastructure because they were persuaded. They adopt it because they examined it and could not find the seam. So rather than write another article about netting, we built the engine and put it where anyone can run it.

We could have written another article about netting. We built the engine instead, and put it on our website where anyone can run it.

That choice follows from a conviction that has shaped everything IDBX builds. Institutions do not adopt infrastructure because they were persuaded. They adopt it because they examined it and could not find the seam. Slides ask for faith. Working systems invite scrutiny, and every serious institution scrutinises before it trusts.

What the engine does

Open the netting engine and obligations begin to arrive, trade by trade, between simulated participants.

On every tick, a deterministic engine recomputes the full picture: gross obligations, bilateral netting, the multilateral net funding requirement, and the liquidity released as the difference between them. Five independent audit checks rerun on every single tick, from positions summing to zero through to cycles preserving positions.

Then AIDANN, our governed intelligence layer, describes the result.

What AIDANN does, and what it does not

That last part deserves a sentence of honesty, because the market is drowning in AI claims.

AIDANN does not calculate anything on that page. It cannot. It describes the engine's output through a fixed template with computed slots, and you can open that template yourself with one click and read exactly which words are fixed and which numbers came from the engine.

The engine computes. AIDANN describes. Nothing is generated.

Two things worth trying

Press ADD PARTICIPANT and let a few trades arrive, then watch the liquidity released figure.

Netting efficiency is a property of the flow, not of the venue. Each participant that joins improves the netting for every participant already there. That single sentence is most of the reason interbank infrastructure should be built as shared market plumbing rather than as another closed platform.

Then open AIDANN's template and try to find the seam. The desks that push hardest are the desks we most want at the table.

What you are watching is an illustrative simulation running on a deterministic seed. The participants are not real. The arithmetic is.

Why this matters

The interbank market never sleeps. Liquidity crosses London, New York, Singapore and Zurich in one continuous day, on infrastructure designed when markets still closed.

Settlement obligations pile up gross when most of them cancel on paper. Intelligence gets bolted on where governance cannot see it.

IDBX is being built as one answer to all of it. Subscription execution without per ticket fees. Settlement of eligible cash legs in central bank money via RTGS. Traditional and tokenised instruments on one ledger. And intelligence that operates inside a governance perimeter rather than outside it.

Any money. Any asset. One intelligent venue.

Run it yourself

The engine is live. Real arithmetic, five audit checks per tick, nothing generated.

Run the netting engine

The engine computes. AIDANN describes. Nothing is generated.
